I believe Decatur is a great place to live, work and raise a family. I know the citizens value their quality of life and the level of safety we all enjoy.

Each day our firefighters and paramedics strive to provide superior fire and emergency medical services (Advanced Life Support) to help maintain the city’s high standard of pre-hospital medical care and can assure you that the health and welfare of our citizens is paramount to the members of Decatur Fire & Rescue.  With eight stations located throughout the city we have a presence in every neighborhood and are very fortunate that Decatur has one of the most capable and diversified departments in the State.
