MacKenzie King records a public safety message at Clear Channel RadioOur K-2-K program, "kids-to-kids," is an innovative approach to educating children grades K-8. After an extensive selection process eleven year old MacKenzie King was selected to represent Decatur Fire & Rescue in 2007-2009. MacKenzie starred in the department's first thirty second commercial, "ALONE" produced by nationally celebrated director/cinematographer, Norton Dill of Dill Productions in Birmingham with concept and script written by Public Affairs head, Douglass Davies. "Alone" will air on August 1 - December 31 (2007-2009) on WAFF 48, WHNT 19, WAAY 31, Charter Cable and Comcast. MacKenzie will deliver health and fire safety messaging via television, radio, print and alternative media. Targeting kids in her peer group, the program develops leadership and communication skills in high profile, peer-to-peer settings.
